Dimming detectors for warehouses

Direct Dim from CP Electronics allows detectors to measure and control luminaire outputs in warehouse applications. When forklift trucks or warehouse personnel enter a defined zone, lighting can be switched on to the full operational level and be adjusted to a maintained illuminance level where required. When they leave that zone, the lighting output can be reduced over time to a minimum preset value, or turned off completely.
Often there is a health and safety requirement to keep the lighting at a minimum level so that if personnel or plant are not moving, possibly due to an accident, there should be enough light available to see something is wrong. These light levels, timings and other operating parameters can all be programmed with the DD-LCDHS-LR. This long range infrared programming handset allows the installer to adjust many built in functions from the safety of ground level.
Digital detectors can control up to 20 dimming ballasts while analogue detectors can control up to 10 dimming ballasts. Additional features include dimming functionality, two channel flexibility, scene setting and recall, step-down illuminance and lamp burn-in. User handsets are available to control on/off, lux levels and preset scenes.
