Basic through-beam/direct diffuse sensor amplifier

July 2003 Sensors & Transducers Other technologies

The Telco PA09 low-cost remote sensor amplifier from Gail Norton Instrumentation is intended for applications such as elevator doors, etc. Designed for use with the LT transmitter and LR receiver from the 101 series, it contains all the elements necessary for a basic application, able to sense 0 to 450 mm (diffuse proximity mode) and up to 5 m (through-beam mode). The device requires a 12 or 24 V d.c. power supply, has one UNI 8612 relay output, power and output indicators, and a screw terminal for all cable connections.
