Low pressure monitor gauge

Sometimes end-users, insurance companies and fire consultants require a means of remote monitoring for low pressure on pilot actuation cylinders. This add-on feature allows for automatic signalling of a low pressure condition, indicating a potential leak. The SANS369 Standard also recommends a low pressure monitor switch on the pilot cylinder.

Alien Systems & Technologies Pyroshield system offers enhanced monitoring for low pressure in the pilot cylinder. This is done by fitting a VdS approved pressure gauge that is fitted with an electrical low pressure switch onto the pilot cylinder valve. With a single pair of wires this is simply terminated at the ‘Pressure Gauge’ terminals in the AST Gas Line Termination Unit (AST/GTU). This offers a simple means of remote monitoring on AST pilot actuation cylinders for Pyroshield that will signal a potential leak.

AST’s pressure gauge c/w low pressure monitor switch is VdS approved for gaseous fire extinguishing systems, provides high switching reliability and long service life. It is also compatible with virtually all fire control panels. Pyroshield systems are fully approved to SANS14520 and fully compliant to SANS369-1 and SANS369-2.
