SAIMC: Johannesburg Technology Evening

August 2026 SAIMC

WIKA Instruments hosted the SAIMC Johannesburg Branch Technology Evening for July 2026, contributing significantly to the event’s success through its commitment to advancing instrumentation knowledge. The SAIMC thanks Anthony Terblanche, area sales manager at WIKA Group South Africa, for his informative and engaging presentation on level measurement principles and industrial applications.

Held on 8 July 2026, the session gave attendees a practical overview of key level measurement technologies, including differential pressure, radar, ultrasonic, capacitive, conductive and float-based methods. Terblanche explained each technology’s operating principles, application suitability and selection criteria, emphasising the importance of selecting the right solution to improve process performance, reliability, safety and automation efficiency.

With support from his WIKA colleagues, Terblanche enhanced the technical content with live, interactive product demonstrations that connected theory with practical application. The hands-on format encouraged valuable discussion among instrumentation and automation professionals and provided a strong platform for knowledge sharing and consultation on level measurement challenges and tailored plant solutions.

The SAIMC Johannesburg Branch thanks Anthony Terblanche and the WIKA team for their professionalism, technical expertise and generous hospitality. Their contribution made the evening a valuable opportunity for learning and technical engagement for all attendees.
