Cost-effective controllers and programmers for OEMs

August 2002 PLCs, DCSs & Controllers

The Industrial Measurement & Control business of Honeywell has introduced a new series of four low-cost general-purpose controllers for OEM applications.

The DC1000 controllers are available in 1/16 DIN, 1/8 DIN, 3/16 DIN and 1/4 DIN formats. They provide advanced features such as motor control, single-phase and three-phase control and may also be used as programmers for basic programming requirements as they embed two interlinkable programs, each of eight segments.

Basic features available are PID or ON/OFF control, heat/cool algorithms, and up to three different alarm outputs with 17 different alarm output modes. For OEM users, they come pre-configured and ready to use. The user interface can be easily customised. Parameters can be hidden, leaving only those parameters that are necessary to the user to avoid making configuration errors.

The functionalities of the DC1000 controllers make them suitable controllers/programmers for dryers, semiconductor packaging and testing, plastic processing, packaging machinery, painting and coating, and climatic chambers.
