With primary applications in temperature control in plastics processing and packaging machines, manufacturing and food processing, etc, the R2900 can operate as a 2-step, 3-step, continuous action, step-action, fixed value, differential or slave controller. Suitable for installation in control panels, the 96 x 96 mm instrument accepts inputs from Pt100 thermometers and thermocouples Type B, J, K, L, N, R and S.
Actual and setpoint values are both displayed digitally at the same time. LEDs indicate the status of switching and alarm outputs, and whether or not manual operation and the proxy setpoint are active. Control parameters and configuration values are set using a PC with Metrawin software or via the membrane keypad. Current settings can be saved as user-defined default settings and recalled as required.
Heating current monitoring is a standard feature using an external current transformer. Error messages are generated if the heating current setpoint is not reached or in the case of antivalence. The serial interface is RS232/RS485, selectable internally.
