IVO has designed an intelligent automation controller for application as a small local control and regulator unit. Designed for installation in front panels, the PCD45 process controller displays the measured values of two analog sensors and processes these via integrated calculator functions.
It can interface with RS232, RS422 and RS485, permitting integration into master-controlled automation systems.
Typical applications for this versatile automation device are double sheet control in the paper and printing industry, measuring of thickness in wood processing as well as edge and filling level control or control of variable 'electronic gears' - required for foil stretching during production. The controller can update its measurements at a rate of up to 50 per second.
Designed for industrial use, the devices are available in AC or DC supply versions and their small size and digital interface makes them versatile and convenient for many varied applications. IVO is represented in South Africa by Timecount.
