LS Industrial Systems has introduced the economic version of its already popular LS XGB/XEC range. The need for a fully specifiedd programmable logic controller when cost saving has to be considered, has been bridged by this very economical range from LSIS. The use of Smart relays and limited PLC options for cost saving is a thing of the past. This new PLC has several surprises for a unit that competes in this price range, including the following:
* IEC certification.
* 240 ns/step processing speed and floating point maths.
* Two Option modules, 38 I/O points.
* Analog expansion, including RTD and thermocouples.
* Two communication modules (RS-232 or 485) built-in.
* High speed counter.
LS Industrial Systems has created a universal programming software tool called XG5000 which is used for all of the new LS PLC ranges. This allows the user to utilise one software package to program everything from the very powerful XGi rack PLCs and to this economically priced goliath.
