KAB Instruments has recently acquired the agency for ASCON panelmount universal controllers. ASCON products are manufactured in Italy to the highest quality standards. The instruments offer a broad range of I/O - which minimises interface compatibility problems. Universal inputs accept all common industrial sensor signals as well as many custom input signals eg infrared sensor.
Remote set point, potentiometric and current transformer inputs are available. Universal outputs eg relay, triac, SSR drive, mA. Volts are provided for control, retransmission and alarm purposes. Advanced PID algorithm handles analog, time proportioning and valve control. Alarms can be configured for standard, latching, blocking and OR mode. The three types of setpoint available are local, remote or programmable profile.
RS485 communication is available as well as optional PROFIBUS DP Slave, MODBUS Master and MODBUS Slave communications. Standard instrument dimensions are 48 x 24 mm, 48 x 48 mm and 48 x 96 mm.
