The ADAM-6500 from Advantech is a fully functional Ethernet-enabled controller for industrial automation and control. It provides an ideal environment to develop applications converting RS232/485 device and equipment data to the Ethernet/Internet world with minimum effort. The built-in Windows CE. NET operating system allows users to run embedded Ethernet applications. The Windows environment also includes a web server to allow designers to develop web-enabled applications.

ADAM-6500 is a compact yet powerful Ethernet-enabled communication controller with a built-in CompactFlash slot and flash disk for WinCE and user's AP. With communication speeds of up to 115 Kbps, the unit is easy to mount on a DIN-rail or in panels. It has three RS232 and two RS485 communication ports, a built-in realtime clock and watchdog timer.
