Very high specifications of precision, reliability and control stability are satisfied by the new, CPC8000-H high-pressure controller, showcased by WIKA at Interkama 2008.
Thanks to its concept this instrument works extremely quickly and is very user-friendly. At its heart there is a pneumatic pressure control unit, which directly controls a pneumatic/hydraulic intensifier, as a closed loop with measurements by a high pressure precision sensor.
This ensures that pressures up to 1600 bar can quickly be controlled and held with a stability of 0,003%, while the unit can cope with large connected test volumes of up to 1000 ccm.
Through its high accuracy of 0,01%, the new CPC8000-H is well suited as a factory standard, for example, in transmitter production or for the verification and calibration of all types of high-pressure measuring instruments. As a result of its robustness another typical application area is cyclic pressure load testing. For these, the pressure medium can be selected to be either water or hydraulic oil.
