Incorporating the latest ARM microprocessor technology, the Model 6004MF weighing amplifier from Instrotech is an all-in-one unit which can be cost-effectively applied in almost any weighing application.
This powerful, compact field-mount amplifier is selectable as a loadcell transmitter, belt weigher, loss-in-weight transmitter, throughput weigher, bag-filler, batch weigher or dynamometer.
The microprocessor power, speed and memory capacity allow the 6004MF to provide additional functions such as data logging with plug-in SD memory cards, GPS, Ethernet and USB.
Application selection and configuration is simple. Six digital inputs, six relay (or solid state) outputs, four function keys and displays are all freely configurable. Function blocks enable selection of analogue outputs, digital communications, auto-zero maintenance, lineariser, application settings and transmitter settings. A simulate function is available to drive analogue outputs and force relays in order to test external devices during commissioning. Another innovation is PI control to convert the transmitter into a proportional plus integral controller. The advantage is cost saving on the wiring of a separate PID controller. When configured as a loadcell transmitter or for flow rate control in beltweigher or loss-in-weight applications, the analogue output (mA or Volts) can be used for SG control.
The controller has a rugged powder-coated cast aluminium housing with splash-proof keypad. There are two displays: a 20 mm main display and an auxiliary information LCD display.
