TX9042 EEx ia or TX9044 GP controllers from Trolex have RS232, RS485 or TTL data comms for communications to a scada system and can store 22 500 data logging events in onboard nonvolatile memory, per input, which may be downloaded into a delimited file spreadsheet for drawing graphs and generating reports.

The controllers are configurable at any time by the end user for a large range of sensor analog and digital input types including current, voltage, PT100, semiconductor and AC peak. Other facilities include failsafe digital inputs, pulse counting, pulse interval, pulse frequency, slip frequency, differential frequency and differential slip frequency.

Programming is easily accomplished via the four-button keypad which allows the user to set the two-level alarm and trip points, name channels for easy identification of input sensor, alarm on rising or falling levels, hysteresis, time delay on/off. There is also password protection. The sensor controller can be fitted with up to eight analog or 16 digital inputs or a combination of analog and digital inputs, making the Trolex controller quite versatile.
