Opto 22 is offering its SNAP-PAC-R1 Controller/Brain, which is a combination programmable automation controller and I/O processor (brain) that mounts on a standard SNAP rack with I/O modules. It runs a control strategy built with ioControl Basic (included in the purchase price).
Faster than its cousin, the SNAP Ultimate brain, it includes two independent Ethernet network interfaces. The device can control both its own I/O and one or more other Ethernet-based I/O units. I/O units can include analog, digital, and serial modules. If used with ioProject Professional, the two Ethernet interfaces can provide connections to redundant network segments.
