Despite being one of the best self-contained light curtains on the market, Telco's SpaceGuard does gain considerable application flexibility when used in conjunction with the specially developed SGC1 SpaceGuard Controller.

The SG1 is a power supply unit housed in a sturdy plastic enclosure, to be used only with the SG 1 self-contained light curtain series. The unit is intended for installations where a DC supply voltage is not available and where an electro-mechanical relay output is required.

It is available with a 230 V (or 115 V) a.c. supply, and produces a fixed 24 V d.c. to power the light curtain detectors. The output of the receiver detector can be pnp or npn. Included are a green 'power on' indicator and a yellow output indicator.

A specially provided test button temporarily disables the transmitter power, imitating an obstruction penetrating the light curtain, for test purposes. It also permits the enabling or disabling of the time-out function by means of a DIP-switch.
