Broad range of servo equipment now available

With the recent launch of the Metronix range of servo equipment in South Africa, Ana-Digi Systems, as sole distributors, has introduced a new prime range of servo technology to this country. This series covers the range from 30 W to 11 kW, offering motors in standard format, others with hollow shaft as well as a range of high inertia servomotors. This selection will suit almost any application.
The motors employ high grade, rare earth, permanent magnets, and offer super-smooth running at extremely low speeds, thanks to the employment of 12 phase rotary encoders (also manufactured by Metronix).
Two types of servo inverter are available ie, standard and embedded controller type, which interface directly to well known PLC ranges such as LG, Mitsubishi and Omron, and feature auto-tuning of the motor and system. The standard type is essentially a servo amplifier, and is designed for use with external axis controllers, for simple positioning tasks and for encoder following. It also features full torque control mode, for applications such as winding and pressing, where high accuracy and consistency are required. The embedded controller offers the above plus a host of specialised functional programmes, such as stepper simulation, absolute co-ordinate positioning and relative co-ordinate positioning.

Metronix servo equipment is manufactured according to ISO 9001 quality standards and carries a two-year factory warranty. Programming can be carried out via the built-in user interface or from a PC by means of the system software, which is available free of charge from Ana-Digi Systems or the distributors. Most items are available ex-stock. Where items not in stock are required urgently, short lead-time delivery ex-factory can often be arranged. Metronix also offer a custom-built service for OEM purposes.
