Teleterm M Series programmable controllers are equipped with wireless communications operating on licence-free bands with ranges up to 20 km line of sight. The range is designed to allow engineers to implement wireless distributed control systems for plant-wide control and monitoring.
Teleterm wireless units also have Ethernet ports allowing wireless links to hard to reach plant areas without foregoing the convenience of the Ethernet network backbone to scada or DCS servers. The wireless links simply form part of the Ethernet backbone using industry standard Modbus TCP protocol.
Teleterm M series are programmable in IEC61131 languages like Ladder, Function Block etc. making the control philosophy design and implementation easy and efficient. Each Teleterm unit is fitted with 12 universal I/O that can be configured for analogue or digital input or output according to the application:
* I/O 1-10 can be digital input, digital output or analogue input.
* I/O 11-12 can be digital input, analogue input or analogue output.
The On board RS-232/485 port can be used to acquire data from third-party devices using either the Modbus protocol or a custom ‘plug-in’ variant.
