Eight-port communication card

ProMicro's PCI-1620A/B is an eight-port RS232 PCI communication card, compatible with the PCI 2.1 bus specification. Suitable for multitasking environments, the card offers high transmission speeds of 921,6 Kbps with eight ports online, 512 KB dual-port RAM, and surge protection is provided to 2,5 kV d.c. It maps to only 16 KB of system memory and offers a choice of one of six addresses from C8000 to DC000.

An easy to use menu driven installation program and LEDs on the connection box allow the user to monitor the TxD/RxD status of any port. The ICOM Tools utility program helps users test the PCI card's performance by analysing the port status. The program also acts as a PC-based data scope allowing a trigger condition to be set, communication data to be captured and the signal status to be monitored.
