New range of variable speed drives

August 2001 Motion Control & Drives

LG Industrial Systems South Africa has just launched its range of AC variable speed drives. The drives range in size from 0,37 to 220 kW offering space vector, sensorless vector, closed loop control, as well as variable torque drives for pump and fan applications. Options for operating with Modbus Devicenet, Profibus and RS485 are also available.

All of the drives undergo strenuous quality control and factory testing to withstand high voltage surges and high frequency interference on the mains line. This testing results in high drives with high reliability while operating in the field.

Functions such as built-in PID control, built-in brake choppers, variable torque, user-defined voltage curves, short circuit and earth leakage proofing are all standard on the units.
