The new PS4000 high performance, built-in industrial computers from Pro-face are available on a built to order basis, offering a range of options such as panel or built-in types, number of expansion slots, OS, CPU, storage and media, to meet customer requirements.
Rugged in design, the industrial computers were developed for reliability and easy maintenance. They are ideal for use in liquid crystal, semiconductor, battery, and LED manufacturing, as well as chemical plants and other industrial oil, gas, and water treatment plants.
Stable operation is ensured by the energy saving and disc free features and the adoption of cartridge type storage media. PS4000 supports the latest interfaces, including Gigabit Ethernet, PCI Express and the latest Windows 7 OS.
Both 38 cm (15 in) and 48 cm (19 in) panel types are available, as well as an embedded 38 cm (15 in) panel model that provides a 60% reduction in power consumption. PS4000 is compliant with CE, UL/cUL, KC, C-Tick, GOST-R and other international safety standards. Certification for GL (marine vessel standards) is expected in the near future.
Depending on the model, the box PC is powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo or an Intel Atom N270 processor. These box PCs can be delivered with Windows XP Profesional, Windows 7 ultimate, Windows embedded standard 2009 or Windows embedded standard 7.
All PS4000 models feature a Compact Flash card slot. This slot can be used to run the PS4000 with an embedded operating system from a CompactFlash memory card (Windows embedded standard 2009 or Windows embedded standard 7), or it can be used for additional backup storage on a CF memory card. A HDD/SSD with a pre-installed OS of choice can be mounted in the slide-in slot making installing or swapping the drives a quick and easy task.
