Industrial PC with integrated battery and UPS

T-Pole has announced its mii45, a core 2 duo box PC specifically designed for industrial applications. The intelligent power supply provides full UPS functionality using internal or external battery packs. It has a 12 VDC auxiliary output, two isolated digital I/O and an ignition signal. Battery status is available remotely via TCP/IP. The T-Power utility allows users to define the power-on sequences from a wide range input 9-28 VDC. As a feature, it is possible to supply the system from 12 VDC thanks to the power supply’s ability to increase the battery to 13,8 VDC.

The system is housed in an aluminium case that acts as the heatsink and on which the PC board is installed in this rugged system. The cooling air flows inside a tunnel with electronic components installed on both sides for dust free operation in challenging environments.

The mii45 has been designed for industrial automation and control with three available Ethernet ports suitable for use with EtherCat and for visual inspections using IP cameras. A choice of one, two or three PCI and PCIe expansion slots extends the use to applications with other fieldbus types. Units can be supplied with Windows Embedded Standard 2009 (XPe), Windows Embedded Standard 7 (WES7), Linux and other operating systems.
