Leading level and pressure instrumentation manufacturers, Vega, has released a climatically compensated version of the Vegabar range of pressure transmitters.
This version has been especially designed for applications in the food, dairy, beverage and paper industries, where pressure measurement is often plagued by condensate formation in the open ceramic relative-pressure measuring cell.
Since the formation of condensate cannot be prevented, Vega implemented the solution by incorporating two absolute pressure sensors; relative pressure is then calculated directly in the electronics of the pressure transmitter.
The Vegabar pressure sensors are plics rated, which makes set-up, maintenance and service much simpler. Plics is a modular system that allows engineers to combine the performance features needed to overcome application specific measuring problems. Once specified, the wiring and adjustment concepts can be applied to any other application and even to other measuring principles.
