Sitrans P320/P420 pressure transmitters with PROFINET over Ethernet-APL

September 2026 Pressure Measurement & Control

The Sitrans P320/P420 pressure transmitters from Siemens are now available with PROFINET over Ethernet-APL communication. This technology enables high-speed data transmission at 10 Mb/s, up to 300 times faster than traditional HART or fieldbus, over cable lengths of up to 1 000 m. With built-in intrinsically safe design, the devices are suited for use in hazardous areas.

Seamless integration into existing networks simplifies installation and reduces costs, maximising efficiency while ensuring reliable process automation. This connectivity also extends to the Sitrans FC Coriolis flowmeters.
