Advantech's PCI-1610CU universal industrial grade PCI communication card features four RS232 ports with solid isolation and surge protection. With its universal PCI interface, the card is compatible with both 3,3 V and 5 V server slots. It is a robust, flexible and an economical choice for applications that require multiple serial ports.

The industrial grade design of the PCI-1610CU provides high-speed nine-wire RS232 signalling, 2500 V d.c. optical isolation, and 2500 V d.c. surge protection to protect the host computer from damage due to unexpected voltages. The card is designed for harsh industrial environments and can work reliably under critical environments such as 60°C temperatures.

The built-in high-performance 16PCI954 UART chipset with a 128-byte FIFO reduces CPU communication load effectively.

Drivers are available for Windows 95/98/2000/NT/ME/XP and Linux.
