At the last Technology Evening, Peter Sheppard from Wika presented on the topic ‘3D Pressure gauge principles’. The pressure gauge is a ubiquitous piece of equipment often taken for granted, but without which we cannot operate a modern plant with all its high tech instrumentation. This technology, as explained by Peter, will not take the place of the standard pressure gauge in all applications, but can provide a solution in certain demanding applications. At the presentation a number of members were presented certificates for regular attendance of the technology evenings.

The branch also hosted another very successful golf day. Peter Zietsman and the team are to be congratulated on the arrangements. This is one of the social events end users and suppliers look forward to every year, where we can get to know one another outside the pressure of the daily work routine.
