The SAIMC User Advisory Council kicked off 2025 with its first event in the ‘Knowlege Sharing 4 Industry’ (KS4I) series on the 19th of March. The event was graciously hosted by Innomotics, and co-presented by Bernardo Marinho, global sales head of Automation and Digitalisation at Innomotics, Germany and Dagan le Roux, the digitalisation team leader at the Innomotics South African office. This engaging session focused on technologies designed to eliminate data silos in the mining sector, sparking dynamic discussions among SAIMC members and delegates. Johan Maartens, the CEO of SAIMC, also provided an insightful update on the topic of professional registration with ECSA for mechatronic and computer engineers.
