We have already hosted two technology evenings. In February Johan van Niekerk from ACIS presented: Rexa actuators for extreme applications. Our March event was presented by Eugene Coetzee with the topic: Security in industrial IT. Both events were well attended by members and visitors. The dates of the next two technology evenings are 7 May and 4 June. More information will be communicated at a later stage.
The Secunda branch annual golf day will be held at Walker Park GC on 28 May: for more information please contact Peter Zietsman.
The committee is planning site visits to Wika, Kriel Power Station, BMW, and Pratley: information regarding the site visits will be communicated once dates are confirmed.
It gives us great pleasure to announce that we have received the award for Branch of The Year for 2008. Kobus Reinecke thanks and congratulates all members, sponsors and especially the 2008 committee for achieving this award. I am sure that we are in for a good challenge from the other branches this year.
See all our event dates and newsletters as soon as they are published. Make the Secunda branch of the SAIMC a friend of yours on Facebook. You will find it at either Saimc Secunda or use the e-mail address: [email protected]
