The winners of Endress+Hauser's Prosonic Comores competition were announced after the draw on 15 October, 1999. To qualify entrants needed to purchase a Prosonic transmitter from Endress+Hauser South Africa or its agents between 1 July, 1999 and 30 September, 1999.
The first prize winner, John Louw of John Louw & Associates, won a week for two to the Comores after purchasing a Prosonic FMU 861 for the measurement of flow in an open channel application. The second prize of a weekend away at any Southern Sun resort in South Africa went to Baker Process Equipment after purchasing the compact ultrasonic Prosonic T. The third prize, a high quality Endress+Hauser windbreaker, was won by Anglo Gold West Gold Mine for the purchase of a Prosonic FMU 860 level measuring system.
