Process monitoring in laboratories – the smart analyser

April 2020 Analytical Instrumentation & Environmental Monitoring

LiquiSonic Lab is specifically designed for laboratory applications and as a portable system in process plants. It is provided with a splash water-proof housing, hence is also suited for rough operating conditions. With the new SensoTech LiquiSonic Lab system users are able to deploy the analysing unit directly on site to measure the concentration and density of process liquids eliminating time consuming preparations.

Simply take a process sample, immerse the sensor in it and the temperature-compensated value will be displayed. The system is equipped for measurement tasks of concentration, monitoring, reaction monitoring, detection of process trends like crystal nucleation and many more – all measured in real time.

The following technical features make daily work with Liquisonic lab units easy:

Compact table unit with touch screen.

• Optional special sensor materials – Hastelloy C-2000.

• Accommodates up to 32 product data sets (optional 256).

• Multilingual user interface.

• Data storage for several weeks.

• Download to USB.

• Valve or trend view.

• Various interfaces.

• Visualised warning limits for precise measurement.

• Sensor measures process values and temperature.

To further reduce efforts of monitoring the process and simplify the handling of the LiquiSonic Lab unit, a Measuring Point Manager parameter is provided. This allows an easy switching of the measuring point and thus the product, depending on where the employee is currently located. The actual product to be measured is assigned to the measuring point in advance. Hence time is saved and operating errors are avoided.

In addition to the numeric concentration, density and temperature displaying, the visualising of limit value ranges is available. This simplifies the monitoring of an approximation to critical values. Users can identify the segment in the measuring range where the current value is settled on and to get a quick overview. When approximating the borders of the measuring range, the arrow turns into yellow signalling a warning. A range excess is shown by a red arrow.
