Handheld combustible gas detector with alarm

March 2003 Analytical Instrumentation & Environmental Monitoring Surveillance

The Riken type GP-88 PPM version is a highly sensitive, intrinsically safe, portable instrument with two selective ranges for testing the toxic and combustible levels of hydrocarbon, methane or organic gas and vapours in industrial work areas. An audible and visual alarm are actuated whenever measurable gas goes beyond the preset alarm point and a peak hold function retains the peak value during measurement.

Eighteen measurable gases are listed in the specification, ranging from Acetone through to City Gas. The low range measures to 0-500 ppm and the high range 0-5000 ppm. Accuracy is better than ±10% at full scale.

Available from Protea Automation Solutions, the GP-88 comes complete with sampling probe and hose, dry batteries, instructions and a test certificate, all arranged in a carrying case.
