New, compact mini pressure cell with built-in transmitter is foundation fieldbus compliant

Endress+Hauser's Deltabar S level and flow transmitter family has been extended by the addition of a new differential pressure-measuring cell.

The mincell is smaller than conventional measuring cells resulting in a more compact overall design and can be mounted in confined spaces, increasing flexibility and reducing costs. It is specifically suited to the mining industry to measure the differential pressure across the filters and in other industries to measure the level in storage tanks and flow of non-conductive fluids.

The differential measuring ranges include 10, 50, 300 kPa and 1,6 MPa and feature an extended process temperature range at 1,6 MPa of 120°C and at 4,2 MPa: 85°C. The transmitter offers an extended overload static pressure of 1,6 MPa opposed to the traditional 1,4 MPa and identical flanges for 1,6 and 4,2 Mpa. The diaphragm of the new cell is available in stainless steel, Hastelloy C, Monel and tantalum and can be supplied with a suitable fill fluid for oxygen applications.

The Deltabar S is part of the industry accepted Endress+Hauser pressure family, incorporating the Cerabar S transmitters. A unique feature is the modular design of this family with housings, displays and electronics being fully interchangeable - saving on spares inventory and increasing flexibility.

The new Deltabar S is available with full Foundation Fieldbus digital communication compliance. The benefit is increased functionality and connectivity to HSE (high-speed Ethernet), ControlNet and other internationally accepted fieldbus protocols.
