Emission monitoring for Durban refinery

A major crude oil refinery in Durban is taking delivery of a SICK-Maihak SO2 cross-stack analyser which will be mounted in-situ in the stack to monitor the sulphur dioxide (SO2) content being released from the refinery. The analyser will determine gas concentrations in realtime to reflect the current state of the process quickly. Being a noncontact device, it is suitable for use with aggressive or corrosive gases, has a very short response time, and requires little or no maintenance.
