System Integration & Control Systems Design

Industrial Technology Systems Integration (ITSI)

May 2002 System Integration & Control Systems Design

Offering its clients single-source solutions for fully integrated and advanced computer-based systems in any industrial sector, believes that adding real value to an enterprise can best be achieved by integrating all business support systems. As a single-solution entity, the company has no particular bias to any specific products but rather aims at offering proper intellectual solutions.

ITSI offers a comprehensive ambit of services (normally turnkey) to its clients in terms of process control and MES systems. These services include

* Control systems integration (PLC, DCS, scada, etc).

* Base layer process control advanced/intelligent process control process information management systems (PROMACE, PI, ENTERPRISEHISTORIAN, etc).

* Manufacturing execution scheduling.

* Systems production planning and tracking.

* Realtime production optimisation software development.

* Management information systems databases (realtime and transactional).

* Data communications and interfacing integration middleware tools (sensors to invoicing).

The company uses intelligent and advanced technologies to automate, integrate and optimise all manufacturing, management and information processes so as to facilitate the accessibility of information for organisational decision-makers. This kind of approach offers particular support and benefits to those who are implementing enterprise resources planning systems.

ITSI has become a pioneer in the industrial no-man's-land of bridging the gaps between realtime systems and transactional-based systems. This domain has been under-developed as a result of the proliferation of new systems, essentially modular in nature and with immature communication abilities. By continually monitoring the status quo and projecting future trends, ITSI is continuously involved in the development and deployment of total package technologies to achieve full integration of organisational systems.

Three critical success factors in the SI's approach are: The correct selection of appropriate technologies, sound system infrastructure in terms of engineering designs and principles as well as sound integration process for the human factor (management of change). An innovative company, ITSI employs a growing team of highly trained and skilled technical personnel whose qualifications include electrical, chemical, electronic, instrumentation, industrial and software engineering. Their depth of experience and knowledge stems from exposure to a broad range of industries and to many different process control, management and information hardware and software platforms.
