Process monitoring in the fertilizer industry

Protea Automation Solutions (formerly AFH Devers) markets a range of Maihak monitoring units for the fertilizer industry for monitoring process gas, humidity of this gas, conductivity of the process water, and stack gas status. The Maihak monitors are well established and in service throughout the world from Europe and USA through to Malaysia.
The Maihak equipment can monitor the process gases CH4, NH3, H2, CO, and CO2 and stack gases SO2, NOx, CO and O2. In addition it will monitor the conductivity of boiler condensate.
For applications in silos, containers for intermediate storage, and similar systems, input from appropriate sensors to the unit will monitor the level of dusty powdery or granulated bulk solids such as lime, nitrate and ammonium chloride.
The monitors are supplied as completely mounted and factory tested units, complete with air conditioning and ventilation, and/or over pressurisation, toxic and/or hazardous alarm detectors. The units are protected for IP54-55-65 EExd i, EEx Zone 1 and 2, Class 1 Div 1 and Div ll.
