Electrical Power & Protection
Mean Well has extended its RSP-200 series of 200 W AC/DC low profile, single output, enclosed switching power supplies. Featuring a 1U low profile, high efficiency and fanless free air convection cooling, the RSP-200 series is 24% smaller in size and 6-19% higher in working efficiency compared to the original SP-200 series. At 30 mm in height and with an expanded operating temperature range of -30 to +70°C, the RSP-200 series is greatly superior to its predecessor models. Benefits to the end-user include energy savings, low noise and low cost.
With up-to-date, high performance circuit topology, the RSP-200 series is equipped with a PFC function and has up to 90% efficiency so it can be cooled by free air convection from -30 to +45°C ambient temperature under full load conditions, and even up to 70°C with suitable derating. To handle humid and dusty environments, the series offers optional conformal coating models which have basic anti-moisture and anti-dust properties. In addition, to fulfil the low profile and low output voltage demands from LED display manufacturers, the RSP-200 series also provides 2,5 V, 3,3 V,4 V and 5 V (40 A) models as options. Other built-in functions include short circuit, overload, over-voltage and over- temperature protection. All series comply with UL, CUL, TUV, CB and CE safety regulations. Applications include industrial automation systems, mechanical and electrical industries, instruments, LED displays, or any system that requires 1U low profile installations.
