The Sonel LXP-10A illuminance meter is designed for accurate measurement of lighting levels in industrial environments, public facilities and other applications where adequate illumination is essential. Equipped with the LP-10A measuring probe, the instrument provides Class A measurements and can wirelessly transfer measurement data to Sonel Reader PC software.
The meter is suited to a range of applications, including workplace lighting compliance, checking escape-route and emergency lighting, and monitoring illumination levels for plant growth. Its Class A performance, combined with resolution down to 0.001 lx, enables precise assessment of lighting conditions.
The LXP-10A can measure light from a wide range of sources, including LEDs, incandescent and fluorescent lamps, as well as electrodeless and high- and low-pressure lamps. Its photodiode and filters provide spectral sensitivity characteristics matched to C.I.E. requirements, eliminating the need for correction factors.
Several functions simplify field measurements. Data-hold freezes a measured value, while peak-hold captures the peak of a light pulse. Automatic zeroing, relative measurement and MAX/MIN recording provide additional flexibility, while users can select either lux or foot-candle (FC) measurement scales. A large, backlit display makes readings easy to view in different working conditions.
For recording and analysis, the instrument includes a built-in memory capable of storing 999 measurement points and a data logger that can record up to 16 000 values. Measurements can be transferred via USB or wirelessly to a PC, supporting the documentation and analysis of lighting surveys.
An auto-power-off function helps conserve battery power during field use. Together, the instrument’s measurement accuracy, broad light-source compatibility and data-recording capabilities make the LXP-10A a practical tool for verifying lighting performance and supporting safer, better-controlled environments.
