Innovative flue gas analyser with easy operation
November 2012
Analytical Instrumentation & Environmental Monitoring
The testo 350 flue gas analyser assists in the control and monitoring of legally prescribed emission limit values in flue gas. Applications include commissioning, maintenance and operative measurements on industrial burners, industrial engines, gas turbines or flue gas scrubber systems; measurement of the gas atmosphere in combustion chambers or kilns and performing function tests on stationary emission measuring instruments.
The portable analyser guides the user safely through flue gas analysis, by means of convenient instrument pre-settings. The instrument consists of a control unit, analyser box and gas sampling probe. Using the removable control unit, the analyser box can be operated. The transfer of measurement data is therefore possible even when the exhaust gas flue and the adjustment site are a distance apart.
Users can freely configure various measurement objects. Typical fuels and a practical order of the flue gas parameters are presented for each of these measurement objects. After configuration, the analyser box carries out the measurements automatically and stores the values. These are shown in the large, colour graphic display of the control unit, and downloaded via software for analysis on a PC.
The testo 350 can be easily operated without previous knowledge of the instrument. Overall, faster routine work is possible in daily measurements. Cleaning, maintenance and replacements can be done directly on site because of easy access to serviceable and wearing parts such as pumps, filters and cells. The cells of testo analysers are pre-calibrated therefore the instrument does not require calibration with test gases, reducing service times and maintenance costs.
