Low cost portable coal analyser

The portable coal analyser from Lab-Kits is designed to analyse the composition and heating value of coal and display the ash content and gross calorific value. The instrument is specially suited to emergency inspection of coal being transported in vehicles and trains, as well as in boilers burning coal.

The special screw-in structure of the probe head allows the instrument to be easily plugged into the coal pile. No self-calibration or sampling is required. The instrument increases the stability of the coal quality for both the supplier and purchaser.

With an accuracy of ±1,0%, the analyser has a 30 s measuring period, a water/moisture measurement range from 0,01%-15% and operates in a -10 to 40°C temperature range. The instrument can operate continuously for 8 h providing 250 test results. Immediately after charging, it can operate continuously for 15 hours.
