The Thermox WDG-1200/Insitu and WDG -1210/Insitu flue gas oxygen analysers from Ametek Process Instruments combine the rugged reliability and serviceability of Thermox flue gas sensors with the advanced electronic capabilities of Land Combustion’s Genesis line of oxygen analysers. The result is a flue gas oxygen analyser that offers accuracy, fast response, excellent usability and outstanding ease of maintenance for a wide range of flue gas applications.
The WDG-1200 includes an integrated controller with user interface, RS485 Modbus and 4-20 mA outputs, optional remote calibration unit, operation to 70°C and built-in diagnostics. The controller features precision temperature control for optimum stability and over-temperature protection. The WDG-1210 has all the same features but its control electronics are mounted remotely from the probe allowing for greater flexibility when the probe is mounted in an inaccessible location.
The unique design of the two analysers allows the entire sensor assembly, including the heater, to be removed without disturbing the outer protection tube, which remains in the process. This makes field service fast and easy, and because there is no need to return the probe to the factory for repair, there is no expensive downtime. The 310 stainless steel probe also eliminates the need for an abrasion shield for most applications.
The Ametek WDG-1200 flue gas analyser has been selected for Eskom’s new power stations.
