Eskom head office at Megawatt Park, recently upgraded two floors of office space to the latest energy efficient: T5, 28W, DALI (digitally addressable lighting interface) linear fluorescent luminaries and T4, 18W, DALI compact fluorescent luminaries.
Thanks to the seamless integration between the DALI luminaries; DALI light/presence sensors and the Beckhoff product range, savings of 50% have been achieved through the utilisation of control mechanisms such as: real-time control, day light harvesting, presence detection and dynamic lighting control in the form of flexible lighting groups switched via sms or the Web. The system integrator is Escotech who is also currently active on a similar project at ABSA Towers building in Sandton.
