The Batten & Company’s ‘Best Marketing Company’ award rates companies among other criteria for the most successful strategic market alignment and management decisions. In 2011, the Endress+Hauser Production Centre for Liquid Analysis in Germany received the award in the ‘major enterprises’ category ahead of Henkel and Triumph-Adler. Udo Klein-Bölting, partner and CEO of Batten & Company says, “Endress+Hauser shows that knowing exactly what customers need is an essential key to success, regardless of the product category.

“One of the cornerstones of Endress+Hauser’s success is the close contact with customers in all industrial sectors where the company’s products are in use. Regular meetings and workshops are held to discuss important joint developments and the results flow directly into product development. A good example is the successful market launch of the Liquiline transmitter platform, capable of acquiring as many as eight different measuring parameters in parallel to reduce complexity substantially.”
“The award confirms our market-focused strategy,” says Dr Manfred Jagiella, managing director of Production Centre. “For us, marketing has two aspects: first, in-depth marketing analysis with the aim of clearly focusing our innovations towards market requirements. Secondly, the advantages and benefits of our technically sophisticated products are presented to our customers in a clear and transparent way.”
The University of Bremen’s Innovative Brand Management Department used a scientific model of 18 indicators with 64 variables to evaluate 560 companies.
