Vital Systems is based in Witbank and services the Mpumalanga and Gauteng area. The company was established in 1996 and specialises in all fields of industrial automation covering the fields of electronic, electrical and pneumatic control. The company is an authorised system integrator for Schneider Automation, Rockwell Automation, Omron and Unitronics. Also distributor for Bosch Pneumatic and Phoenix Contact.
The company has gone from strength to strength with the initial continuous improvement programme proving to be very successful. This programme includes in-depth, hands-on training in the abovementioned fields. The upkeeping with new technology in all fields of our operations being crucial and acknowledging our clients' needs on a totally personalised/professional basis.
Previous strategic projects and a very reputable clientele include the following:
Ferro-alloys/chrome producers
Turnkey projects include the automation of the most high technology furnace filtration plants in the southern hemisphere. The project was completed with Elkem Technologies from Sweden. The project included design, installation and commissioning of all automation aspects including: scada, PLC control and pneumatic control applications. The filtration plant far exceeds environmental safety margins and has an availability of 98,5%.
Food, beverage and packaging industries
The development, design and manufacture of milk pasteurising machines for the local and export market. Also integrated are milk, fruit juice, water automated filling and sealing machines. Local applications in dairies and milk shops throughout South Africa, also exports to Malawi, Kenya, Swaziland, Mozambique, Zambia, Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Rwanda and Burundi. Vital Systems also specialises in the re-automation imported: form, fill and seal machines suitable for the African market.
