The Vegamet 391 from Vega is a universal signal conditioning instrument that can take on a variety of regulating and control tasks such as level and process pressure measurement. The instrument is also well equipped for stocktaking, VMI (vendor managed inventory) and remote enquiry and designed to operate with transmitters from a variety of manufacturers.
The instrument supplies the connected sensors, functions as an Ex barrier if necessary and provides access to Ethernet or external modem by means of gateway functions. In the area of water/waste water, the instrument boasts special functions like switching, throughput measurement and trending. Measurement data can be visualised either via a large, clear text display with backlighting, or via a standard browser using the integrated web server.
There are two options available for setting up and commissioning. Users can carry out set-up directly on Vegamet if necessary. A more convenient way is via PACTware and the corresponding DTM, which allow access to the instrument from a PC with USB interface. The connected HART sensor can also be accessed.
