The Orion 3-Star range of bench-top meters from Thermo Scientific, measure pH, temperature or ORP and offer ease of use along with accurate reliable results. They are supplied with the Ross ultra electrode, which can be matched to individual requirements to cater for a variety of measurement requirements.
This meter is equipped to handle the demands of a QA/QC laboratory with smart averaging and smart stability that automatically optimise accuracy, precision, response time and temperature calibration capability. The display shows mV, pH or temperature measurements, up to five points can be calibrated with a calibration alarm. Automatic buffer recognition, a full complement of GLP features, RS232 port for updates and download and the control of data logging of up to 1000 points are other features.
Specifications for the Ross triode include a pH range of 0–14, precision of 0,01 pH and operating temperature between 0-100°C The electrodes are all refillable, have BNC waterproof connectors and are built from durable epoxy bodies to hold rough samples. All Ross ultra electrodes can be used in samples that contain TRIS, sulphides or proteins.
