December 2010Maintenance, Test & Measurement, Calibration
Comtest Technologies has released a new line of clamp meters for in-house electricians, industrial maintenance technicians, control technicians and HVAC contractors. The range is diverse and offers new innovations like the iFlex coil and remote display. In tight cabinets or spaces where wires are bound or closely packed and it is dangerous to pry apart the wires, the iFlex coil simplifies measurement taking. The remote display can be separated by up to 10 m from the body of the clamp without compromising accuracy or integrity, removing the need for assistance from a co-worker when making remote measurements.
There are six models in the new line of clamps, each of which addresses a unique set of needs and challenges:
* The 365 is the basic troubleshooting tool featuring 200 A AC and DC, detachable jaw, built-in flashlight and CAT III 600 V.
* The base Fluke 373 features 600 A, true-rms; capacitance measurement and is Cat III 600 V and CAT IV 300 V rated.
* The 374 has all of the 373 features and in addition is Cat III 1000 V and CAT IV 600 V rated with extended Jaws and iFlex capability.
* The 375 has all of the features of the 374 plus 60 k resistance range, frequency measurement and a low pass filter.
* The 376 is the 375 plus 1000 A AC and DC resistance range.
