BitDefender appoints Charles Arizmendi as its new chief operations officer

BitDefender has announced the appointment of Charles Arizmendi as its new chief operations officer. Arizmendi will accelerate the company’s strategic operations and global expansion programme, while leading the global sales, marketing and customer care teams. He will report to BitDefender’s CEO, Florin Talpes.
Arizmendi brings more than 20 years of sales, marketing and operations experience to BitDefender. He moves from Microsoft, where he led the channel sales, marketing and programs teams for Central and Eastern Europe and the Latin America regions, managing revenues up to $1,3 billion. He developed breakthrough, world-class sales and marketing programs that were recognised for their success both internally and outside the company.
Arizmendi also brings extensive experience in implementing strategies to increase annual revenue growth and building relationships with customers, having consistently increased software sales for Latin America’s mid-market, small business and consumer segments by more than 40% and achieving renewal rates of over 90%.
