System availability can be increased using the single-phase Quint Power SFB 24 V/40 A power supplies from Phoenix Contact: The SFB (selective fuse breaking) technology with 215 A for 12 ms enables the reliable triggering of standard power circuit breakers with characteristics up to B25 or C13. Faulty circuits are selectively shut down, the fault is localised, and important system components remain operational.
Comprehensive diagnostics is provided by constantly monitoring the output voltage and current. This preventive function monitoring visualises critical operating states and signals them to the control system before faults occur in the plant or system. The output voltage can be adjusted between 18 and 29 VDC in order to compensate for voltage drops along long cables. For global use, all Quint Power supplies have a wide input range from 85 to 264 VAC or 90 to 350 VDC as well as an international certification package.
