Endress+Hauser has introduced the new M-Platform for hydrostatic level measurement, the Waterpilot FMX21. This new pressure sensor offers a high degree of reliability and safety. The housing variants are aligned to application requirements in an optimum fashion to ensure the Waterpilot is ideally suited to potable water, wastewater through to sea-water applications.
The ceramic measuring cell is particularly robust and offers long-term stability. The sensor is extremely precise which is reflected by its high resistance in overload conditions and aggressive media. The unit is protected against climatic impairment by potted electronics and a 2-filter pressure compensation system; communication is via a 4-20 mA HART signal.
A Pt100 temperature sensor is available as an option and facilitates the simultaneous measurement of level and medium temperature. This enables the Waterpilot FMX21 to correct measuring errors resulting from temperature-caused density fluctuations of the water. The automatic density compensation increases the accuracy of the level probe considerably.
The Waterpilot range is easily installed and unaffected by build-up and foam formation. The FMX21 has all relevant potable water approvals (KTW, NSF, ACS). Furthermore, all common approvals for applications in hazardous areas are available. An extensive program of accessories completes a comprehensive hydrostatic measuring point solution.
