Crystal accuracy process analyser

Ametek’s Model 3050-OLV moisture analyser combines quartz crystal accuracy with on-line verification in a cost competitive package. This sensitive moisture analyser is designed for applications that require continuous and reliable measurement of ppm moisture in gases and vapours.

An internal moisture generator allows users to confirm analyser performance on demand by comparing sensor and system operation to conditioned sample gas that contains a known amount of moisture. This feature was built in to inspire operator confidence.

The analyser is suited to monitoring natural as well as various industrial gases. The sensor is unaffected by the presence of methanol and process or ambient temperatures within its operational limits. It can be used in sour gas applications containing up to 30% hydrogen sulphide or 100% carbon dioxide. The mercury levels typically present in natural gas also do not adversely affect sensor performance.

Fast response to changes in moisture levels enable the 3050-OLV to confirm a moisture problem as it happens. Its accuracy, on-line verification capability, and repeatability ensure that industrial gas specifications are met.

The quartz crystal moisture detection technology has proved to deliver consistent, reliable and accurate information in a large number of long term applications. The analyser’s wide range of operation – the unit is factory calibrated over a range of 0,1 to 2500 parts per million by volume (ppmv) – allows users to monitor moisture levels from start-up through normal process operation. Units are available in various Ex configurations depending on the hazardous area classification required.
