Endress+Hauser classifies pressure range

September 2010 News

‘Only pay for what you really need.’ Endress+Hauser says it takes this statement seriously by offering pressure instruments in different technology segments as no single instrument is suitable for all applications. Correct selection of a measuring system which operates reliably under specific conditions, and is economically efficient at the same time, is no easy task. Therefore E+H has classified its comprehensive pressure offering into three different segments, incorporating the recently launched M-Platform range which forms part of the M-segment.

The M-Platform uses the advanced technology of the proven S-Segment sensors. This combination of proven-in-use technology with a standardised transmitter ensures long-term plant asset management optimisation. The Cerabar M and Deltabar M are industry familiar names used for process pressure, differential pressure, level and flow measurement in gases, steams or liquids in all areas of process engineering and process instrumentation.

The new compact M-Platform pressure transmitters include the following:

* Process (absolute/gauge) pressure – Cerabar M.

* Differential pressure – Deltabar M.

* Hydrostatic level – Deltapilot M, Waterpilot HART.

The M-Platform pressure instrumentation from Endress+Hauser offers a comprehensive transmitter range for acquiring process pressures, differential pressures and hydrostatic levels. Deltabar M, Cerabar M and Deltapilot M uses modern, intelligent pressure instruments with specifically adapted measuring cells. The modular design and compact size allows these instruments to be adapted to changing process conditions in a flexible manner.

All M-Platform instruments are equipped with identical software and the same onsite display. All measuring points are easily installed and menu settings are programmed using the language selected by the technician to save time and offer additional safety. Users can set all parameters via the electronic inserts or the display making the need for a PC superfluous.

All types of communication are integrated into operating programs like FieldCare thanks to the FDT/DTM concepts for seamless integration into the process control systems of different manufacturers.

Benefits of the Cerabar M, Deltabar M and Deltapilot M transmitters include:

* Compact size.

* Modularity in the housing and electronic inserts reduces inventory.

* Uniformity in the HMI to simplify commissioning and operation.

* Flexibility of pressure, level and flow measurement modes ensure cost optimisation. Unused parameters are automatically hidden.

The complete product basket offers customers a compre-hensive portfolio to fulfil measuring tasks in an efficient and cost effective manner.
